Tracey says "The anticipate of seeing an old friend after an extended absence is precious. I feel that same anticipation at seeing flowers bloom, from their first shoots to the burgeoning buds and the big blooms. I make the most of the time with them, as I would with a dear, old friend. Part of the sorrow in seeing the petals fall is mitigated by the knowledge that they will be back again and so the seed of anticipation is sown anew."
